After the wind and rain of Friday night, you might get a chance to make your way to some of these events over the weekend when it all dies down…


1. Free your Wild Mind…

FENIT is the place to be on Saturday and Sunday for with an exciting programme of events where people can immerse themselves in our natural surrounds and foster our compassion for our planet.

The Wild Mind outdoor festival is a celebration of our natural environment and features a range of workshops, music, talks, tours and family entertainment.

2. Go for a cycle…

FINAL preparations are in place for the 6th Ardfert Annual Cycle this Sunday at 10am in aid of Ardfert  School Building Fund.

It is an ideal opportunity for all, from the cycling enthusiast to the first timer, to take part in an event that is both achievable and challenging with two routes of 32km and 70km.

After having tea and scones at Ardfert National school they’ll hit the road and following the cycle there’ll be a BBQ, raffle and music and a great atmosphere is guaranteed at the finish line.

Helmets are compulsory and registration fee is €25 which includes BBQ and entry into raffle for four spot prizes. For registration click here or you can also register on the morning of the cycle from 8.30 – 9.45am.

3. Mind Body Soul…

There’ll be over 4o stands at The Rose Hotel on for the Mind Body Soul Expo. Taking place from 12noon to 6pm, workshops will include ‘Say Yes To Your Fabulous Life’ from Astrid Longhurst at 2.3opm, ‘The Power Of Positive Thinking’ from Juliana Murphy at 3.30pm and ‘An Introduction To Creating Your Own Vision Board’ with Anne O’Donnell at 4.30pm.

4. Black and Amber day…

“There’s only one black and amber”. That’s what both Austin Stacks and Dr Crokes fans say, but it remains to be seen who’ll have the bragging rights after the Club Championship Final at Austin Stack Park on Sunday.

Both teams won their groups and face off in what should be a fantastic afternoon’s football. Throw in is at 2.30pm.

5. A concert to finish…

And to bring the weekend to a close, Kerry Choral Union will host their annual Easter concert in aid of Recovery Haven Kerry on Sunday.

This wonderful evening of song takes place at Our Lady and St Brendan’s Church, Tralee,  at 7.30pm. Tickets available from Recovery Haven, priced at €10
