A FAMILY from The Kerries held a great event over Christmas and raised over €700 for a great cause.

Michelle McEllligott opened her home in the Kerries and held a floral display with a large crowd attending and giving generously to Recovery Haven.

“The event was a pre-Christmas floral demonstration night at our house in Cockleshell Road,” said Michelle. “We had an outstanding night and over 50 people came to support it and hopefully we’ll have another one this year. I think Recovery Haven is a deserving charity and the money stays local here,” said Michelle.

Maureen O’Brien, a volunteer at Recovery Haven, was delighted with the funds raised.

“On behalf of Recovery Haven, I want to thank Michelle  for a fantastic night at her home. It’s a unique way of raising funds and every cent we get is gratefully accepted because we don’t get any Government funding,” said Maureen.
