KERRY County Council is advising motorists and members of the public to exercise caution this evening and tonight following the issuing of a Code Orange Orange warning for fog overnight.
Pockets of freezing fog are expected and motorists are asked to use their fog lights as appropriate. Pedestrians and cyclists should wear high visibility clothing and use lights if they are out and about.
Motorists are also asked to look out for icy conditions on roads as temperatures fall.
The fog will become fairly widespread this evening and early tonight and will be dense in places. Some pockets of freezing fog are likely also. The warning is valid from 1pm Sunday until 9am tomorrow morning.
