A FORMER CBS The Green pupil was presented with the the overall Kerry Young Historian Award on Wednesday.
In a joint event by Kerry County Museum, Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society Society and Kerry County Council as part of Architecture Kerry 2023, Kieran Cahill, a graduate of CBS The Green, Tralee and since September a student of University of Limerick was presented with the award by Jimmy Deenihan at Kerry County Museum.
The award is supported by Tralee Education Support Centre and the Irish HistoryTeachers Association, Kerry Branch.

Awards were also presented in the junior, senior and highly commended categories. The award ceremony was followed by a gallery talk, display and demonstration by archaeologist and historical advisor Dave Swift of Claíomh and Claidheamh Soluis who showcased the material culture of 1916 and the Irish Revolutionary Era.
