Rian O’Sullivan reported for U17 Republic if Ireland duty this week.

Former Tralee Dynamos player Rian O’Sullivan was in action for the U17 Republic of Ireland side this week featuring in both of their scheduled international friendly matches against Hungary.

The 16 year old Camp native, who has already represented his country at the U16 level, was named in Tom Mohan’s side to play the two international away matches.

He played in both Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat and today’s 0-0 draw with the Hungarian side in Bük.

This represents another step in the young player’s development after he was recently signed to a three year contract with English Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion (see previous story here)

Mohan’s side reached the UEFA U17 Championship finals in Bulgaria last year, with Rian and his colleagues no doubt hoping to qualify for the 2016 finals in Azerbaijan next year, with the qualifiers in Finland later this month.
