A CLEAN-UP of Banna beach on Saturday saw 50 volunteers show up and 40 bags of rubbish removed from the beach, dunes and car-park.

Organised by Banna Coastcare, Ray Foley, Clean Coasts Officer, kicked off the morning with an informative talk about marine life and the impact of litter and micro plastics.

The remains of campfires in the dunes were littered with beer cans, bottles and clothes. Other items found, included facemasks, sweet wrappers, fishing ropes and nets.
