• To be Kerry based and to encourage participation from the community, allow for the long-term preservation of an archive and have outcomes that are accessible to diverse audiences and participants

• It also had to align with one of the five pillars of the Creative Ireland programme

The process was managed by the Kerry Library Service, overseen by Tommy O’Connor, County Librarian. The presentation to successful applicants was made by Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr John Sheehan, joined by Cllr Sam Locke, Chairperson of the Strategic Policy Committee that oversees Culture, Arts, Tourism and Recreation. Representatives from each successful group attended, joined by Kate Kennelly, Creative Ireland Kerry Co-ordinator and Mike Lynch, Archivist, Tralee Library.

Creative Ireland Kerry wishes to thank all who engaged with the project and says congratulations to each of the award winners. Kerry County Council looks forward to this programme growing under the Creative Ireland Kerry programme in the years to come.
