Say farewell to Fr Sean..

The Meadowlands Hotel is the venue tonight for a special event to say farewell to a much loved clergyman.

Fr Sean Hanafin, of St John’s Parish, is taking a year’s sabbatical before moving on to another parish and a get-together is being held for him from 7pm.

It’s a chance to say thanks for the work he has done over the past number of years and all are invited to show their appreciation.

It’s a big day for John Mitchels GAA Club as they bid for County League Division 1 survival.

A win will ensure they stay up but they face age-old rivals Kerins O’Rahillys. The blues have nothing to play for though, so can the Boherbee  stay up?

Expect a big crowd from the green and gold side of town.

On the baby market…

The Baby Market will return to The Rose Hotel for another buying and selling bonanza on Sunday from 12 noon to 2pm.

There’ll be more than 25 stalls overflowing with all things all things baby, toddler and maternity with some local vendors selling their baby related goods and services in the mix.

With Gymboree Kerry providing entertainment for the smallies on the day, as well as prizes galore and a few hidden surprises it’s set to be a great event!
