The weather is supposed to stay dry so it’s an opportunity to get out and about after the few days of rain we’ve endured. Here’s a few things to do…

Saturday

1. Celebrate with the Parkrunners…

It’s the 200th Parkrun since it began in the Town Park back in January 2015.

People are invited to come and wear a milestone or an apricot top if you have one, to help them mark this special occasion. The run, as usual, begins at 9.30am sharp.

You must register first though so click on this link to sign up and print out your barcode and bring it on the day http://www.parkrun.ie/tralee/.

2. Santa arrives…

As part of the Manor West Shopping Centre and Retail Park’ fantastic line up of free events in the run up to Christmas, Santa Claus will be at the centre on Saturday, November 17 and Sunday, November 18 from 12 – 6pm.

It is free of charge to visit Santa at Manor West and everyone is encouraged to being their camera or mobile phone to capture those special moments with Santa.

3. Get 90s nostalgic…

JOHN Cleary will sign copies of his news book, ‘As Time Goes By’ at O’Mahony’s Bookshop this Saturday at 2pm.

It’s the third book in as many years from the well-known Tralee photographer, this time focussing on life in Tralee and Kerry in the 1990s.

The book is a treasure trove of memories including images from Christmas swims, debs balls, Tralee Musical Society productions, sport, Tidy Towns, social action, weddings, communions and confirmations and much, much more.

Sunday

4. Talkabout a great Sunday for the ladies…

THE second Radio Kerry ‘TalkAbout Christmas Tea Party’ will take place at Ballygarry House Hotel with special guest, TV star Pamela Flood.

Hosted by presenter Deirdre Walsh, the theme for this year’s event is ‘Looking good as you age’ with the focus on women in their middle years and upwards.
