Never fear! It’s almost at the end of the week and the bodies and bones are aching to relax. Here’s a few things to get up to…

FRIDAY

1. For those out there who may like to ‘bust a move’ on a night out, we might have the perfect day and evening in store for you!

Friday promises to be a very exciting time in Siamsa Tire as the The ‘Tocht Festival Of Dance’ is set to touch down for the weekend. ‘Tocht’ will be two days of dance watching, learning, joining in and experiencing something new.

The day will start off with a ‘Contemporary Dance Workshop’ for both professional and semi-professional dancers starting from 9.30am until 11.30am. This will then be followed by another workshop with Michael Keegan-Dolan at 12pm until 5pm that evening accompanied by live music.

Jean Butler of ‘Riverdance’ fame will also be here on the night as she performs in her show ‘duet one’ which will be taking place at 7pm.

All ticket information can be found on the event page here.

SATURDAY

Rowing Club 4

The ‘Rowathon’ will be held this Saturday.

2. TRALEE Rowing Club (TRC) will be hosting their rescheduled 24-hour charity rowing event this weekend, as they look to raise much-needed funds for the completion of their new clubhouse that is being built.

Members of the public are being encouraged to come down and show their support to the 48 different crews that will be participating over the over the weekend. In what promises to be an excellent event, it is being scheduled to go ahead this Saturday April 25 at 2pm at the canal and will continue on through the night until 2pm the next day Sunday April 26.

So come on down, if only for a few minutes to give the tired athletes a much needed cheer to get them over the finish line!
