DRIVERS can get a free coffee at Applegreen service stations in Tralee today and on Bank Holiday Monday thanks to a road safety campaign in conjunction with the Road Safety Authority.

The campaign is to combat the effects of driver fatigue over the Bank Holiday weekend with so many people taking to the roads.

Between 2pm and 8pm on today, Friday, August 3 and on Monday, August 6, the RSA and Applegreen will provide free cups of coffee to drivers at participating service stations.

These include Applegreen in Manor, Fairies Cross and Monavalley Service Station. All you have to do is say ‘RSA’  or ‘Driver Reviver’ to the till operator to avail of a free coffee.

In 2017, the promotion saw over 10,000 cups of coffee handed out free to tired drivers over bank holiday weekends. It has run for the last four bank holidays in 2018.
