Free Parking Period And ‘Grace Periods’ In Council Car-Parks From July 1

THERE will be a temporary free parking period from 9am to 11am each morning in Tralee’s Council-owned car parks from July 1.

This was agreed by Tralee Municipal District councillors at a special meeting on Wednesday morning.

It was also agreed to retain traffic through Russell Street (which was due to be closed off in the Safe Street Mobility Plan) and there will also be a 15 minute ‘Grace Period’ in all Council Car-Parking locations throughout Tralee.

There will be provision for eight dedicated Elderly Parking Bays located through Rock Street, New Street, Ashe Street and Denny Street, while there will be a waiver for the ‘street furniture’ licences for businesses until the end of 2020. Kerry County Council will announce more details in due course.
