Tralee actor Kieran Roche and Judith Ryan will perform ‘Three Sessions With Annemarie’ this evening.

A REHEARSED reading of the 2016 Listowel Writer’s Week Eamon Keane Full-Length Play winner, ‘Three Sessions with Annemarie’ by Harriet O’Carroll, will take place at Siamsa Tire, Tralee at 7pm this Sunday evening.

‘Three Sessions With Annemarie’ is one of six finalists shortlisted earlier this year at Listowel Writers Week. The Eamon Keane Full Length play award is Ireland’s richest playwriting award and a national celebration of new Irish writing.

‘Three Sessions With Annemarie’ will be performed by Judith Ryan and Tralee man Kieran Roche, and directed by Neil Flynn.

This is a free event, all are welcome.  Anne Marie has an exceptionally difficult client. He believes in improving the world.  So does she, but their methods are totally opposite. Who will be the victor and why does it affect the world?

Harriet O’Carroll is a grandmother who has written for stage, screen and radio and has lived most of her life in Limerick. Harriet began her career in 1979 writing short stories, before moving into writing for radio, television and the stage.

She was a prizewinner in the OZ Whitehead One Act Play Competition. Her radio play Minuet, which establishes a Limerick connection to Jane Austen, was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and RTE Radio 1 in 2000. She has written episodes for the soap operas ‘Glenroe’ and ‘Fair City’.
