FOUR local men were at Kerry Hospice Foundation on Wednesday to present a cheque for €3,475 after a series of fundraisers over the past few months.

Jack Ferguson (DJ Fergie), David O’Brien, Tim Dennehy and Shane O’Sullivan took part in a Movember Challenge, while a number of DJ gigs around the county were also held to raise funds for the specialist palliative care unit.

Jack wanted to do something in memory of his aunt Maureen Harris who received great care in the In-Patient Unit.

Jack and the lads also had the pleasure of being interviewed by Maura and Daithi on the RTE Today show back in late November where the four guys had their moustaches shaved. It was a fantastic amount of money to raise and their intention is to continue with the fundraising for this very worthy cause.
