Funding Available For Projects Promoting Youth Creativity In Kerry

KERRY Education and Training Board has announced two new strands of funding available to organisations, communities, youth groups, and after-school groups who wish to enhance the range and impact that creative people such as artists/designers/craft-makers/creative industry professionals can make in working with young people.

Applications are being sought for youth led projects that support youth creativity in Kerry. Projects must be realised in 2020.

Kerry Education and Training Board is also seeking expressions of interest from professional organisations in Kerry who wish to develop a collaboration at local level with Kerry Local Creative Youth Partnership.

Application forms can be downloaded from www.kerryetb.ie/arts . Completed application forms are to be submitted by return email only to Deirdre Enright, the Creative Youth Co-Ordinator at Kerry ETB.

Only official application forms can be accepted. The closing date for receipt of applications in Friday, September 25.

Ann O’Dwyer, Director of Schools at Kerry ETB who is the lead partner in the Local Creative Youth Partnership stated; “With additional funding provided to the Local Creative Youth Partnership this year, we are looking forward to developing new project collaborations that support the creativity of our young people far and wide in Kerry. We encourage organisations that work with young people to see this as an opportunity to work together to engage creative specialists to provide young people with skills and expertise in a variety of creative areas. From our experience through the LCYP, we have seen young people grow and flourish when they engage in creative opportunities which they have never experienced before”.
