A TEAM from Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí are off to the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght next Tuesday to bid for an All-Ireland title.
The second year girls team will take part in the Junior B part of the competition and got to the finals by beating St Marys High School, Midelton and Gort Community school in Cork a few weeks ago. A lot of hard work has been completed since then in preparation for Tuesday.
Their manager Sinéad Ní Chathasaigh said; “They played their hearts out and so deserve to be heading to Tallaght, we are a small school and this a tremendous achievement for them.”
They play Dalkey in the semi-final of the competition and if they win, they will contest the final on the same day. Let’s hope their hard work pays off next week.
