THE pupils of Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn were out singing during Tuesday and all for a good cause.
About 90 of the pupils had a spell carol singing in town and the public gave generously to add to funds raised last year to make €1,529, which was donated to Pieta House on Wednesday.
Principal Cáit Uí Chonchúir said the pupils and staff were glad to help out the facility in Moyderwell as it performs such great work, especially for young people.
Con O’Connor of Pieta House was delighted that the school made the effort. He said they were seeing more and more boys and girls in school uniforms coming into Pieta House for counselling and all funds were welcome in helping to supply the vital service.
