A TEAM from Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn did the school and town proud in a national schools quiz final at the weekend.
One hundred teams of four children competed for national titles in the annual Credit Union Schools Quiz National Final in Dublin’s RDS on Sunday.
Having won out Stage 1 Credit Union Level and Stage 2, Regional Chapter Level, the Under 11 Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn team comprising of Iarla Ó hAiniféin, Grace Ní Dhomhnaill, Ruairí Ó Loingsigh agus Donncha Mac Uileagóid mentored by Maistir Dónal, represented the newly formed Cara Tralee Credit Union formerly Tralee Credit Union, at the finals.

The team led the scoreboard for seven out of ten rounds, but finally succumbed to the Dromconrath team.
The final tally awarded Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn 3rd place in a highly competitive but most entertaining afternoon of questions covering Geography, History, Music, Literature and Sport.
