GARDAI are appealing to homeowners to be vigilant after a theft of home heating oil at the weekend in the Ardfert area.
The oil was stolen from a tank at a house in Farranwilliam, Ardfert, between 9am on Saturday morning and 9pm on Sunday night.
A substantial amount of oil was taken, so Gardaí believe a large vehicle was needed to carry it away.

Gardai in Ardfert can be contacted on 066-7134133 or at Tralee on 066-7102300 if anyone saw anything suspicious in the area at the time.
Gardai are recommending that people don’t fill their tanks, rather get enough to get by for a certain period of time, just in case thieves strike.
