GARDAI are appealing to the public for any information regarding two separate incidents which occurred earlier this month.

On Tuesday, August 11, between 3pm and 2am the following morning,  a substantial amount of cash and a gold diamond ring were stolen from a house on the Oakpark Road.

They are asking if anyone can remember a person acting suspicious in the area at that time or if anyone is offered a gold diamond ring for sale at a low price, to contact them at Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.

Also, on August 1 between 10pm and 11pm, a silver Volkswagen Passat was involved in a dangerous driving incident on the main road between Ardfert and Tralee. A minor collision took place on the road during the incident where a number of cars were overtaken.

Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry and a person has been identified in relation to the incident, but they are asking anyone else who may have seen the event or has dash cam footage of the car overtaking other vehicles to contact them at Tralee Garda Station.

  1. Gardai need to come out of their offices and police the street and roads properly..The people around kerry drive like lunatics on the road because they can and get away with it.. I have lived in London and America and I have never seen the sort of crazy highly dangerous driving like I do in kerry …
