GARDAI are appealing for witnesses in relation to a burglary at a petrol station at West End, Rathmore,  in the early hours this morning.

Between the hours of 1am and 6am, a number of suspects entered the petrol station through the back door and proceeded to take cash and stock from the premises.  After spending a number of hours inside the petrol station, they left in a dark coloured car.

Speaking at Macroom Garda Station today, Inspector Aidan Moynihan said “We are appealing for anyone who was in the Rathmore are between 12:30am and 6:30am today, to contact us. Also, to any drivers who were in the area and who may have dash cam footage. The suspects in this burglary spent a long time in the area so hopefully someone might have spotted something suspicious, in particular, a dark coloured car.”

Gardaí can be contacted at Macroom Garda Station on 026 20590, The Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
