GARDAI are appealing for the public’s assistance in relation to an attempted break-in in Lixnaw yesterday.
At 10.45pm on Sunday night, two males attempted to break into the pharmacy in the village. The owner was in the pharmacy at the time and confronted the would-be raiders, who caused a substantial amount of damage to the front door.
After a short struggle, the suspects ran off in the direction of the sports field (the Ballinclogher direction).
One male is described as being between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins in height, wearing gloves and the second suspect was around 5ft 5ins in height and of thin build.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the village around that time to contact Listowel Garda Station on 068-50820.
