Gardaí Arrest Driver And Find €300 Of Suspected Cocaine In Car

A DRIVER was found with €300 worth of cocaine after being searched by the Kerry Drugs Unit on Friday.

While on patrol in Caherciveen, Gardai from Divisional Drugs Unit in Kerry attempted to stop a Ford Focus which then took off at speed.

The car was located after the driver lost control and ended up in a ditch. The driver was arrested for drink driving, dangerous driving and no insurance.

After processing the driver, the drugs unit went back out and spotted another black Ford Focus which was stopped and searched.

The driver was found to be in possession of €300 worth of suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
