Gardai Arrest Man And Woman In Relation To Tralee Burglary

Gardaí have arrested two people in relation to a burglary in Tralee, in the early hours of this morning.

Shortly before 1am Gardaí from Tralee received a report from a member of the public of a possible break-in at a house on Chapel Street in Tralee.

Gardaí attended and discovered two people, a woman in her late teens and the a man in his 40s, still in the house.

They were arrested and brought to Tralee Garda Station where they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Speaking at Tralee Garda Station today, Superintendent Daniel Keane said; “It is fantastic to see that a member of the public picked up the phone and called us when they believed they had seen something out of the ordinary.

“There is a great sense of community spirit in Kerry at the moment and it is great to see people are still looking out for each other. You can’t beat good neighbours when it comes to crime prevention.”
