Gardaí Investigate Attempted Robbery Of Elderly Woman In Town Centre

GARDAI are appealing to people who came to the aid of an elderly woman in Tralee town centre to make contact with them.

On Friday afternoon at about 3.30pm, someone tried to rob an elderly woman at the laneway on Denny Street at the side of The Imperial Hotel, which links to the back of Bank Of Ireland car park.

They want to speak to a man who got out of a black car and a couple who were walking nearby and came to the woman’s assistance.

They are asking them to call into Tralee Garda Station and speak to Garda James Hurley or Garda Eilish Cronin, or ring them on 066-7102300.

Meanwhile, gardaí are also investigating a criminal damage incident in Glenard, Monavalley at the weekend.

It happened on overnight on Saturday/Sunday when the glass on the front window of a house, which is under construction, was broken. Any information to Tralee Garda Station.
