GARDAI are appealing for information in relation to a break-in and theft at a business in Milltown last week.

On Tuesday, November 2, at 4.15am a burglary occurred at O’Neills Powertool Shop, Main Street, Milltown.

Four males in a dark-coloured Audi A3- three-door car, with off standard 19″ alloys and clear Lexus type of standard rear lights entered the town from the Killarney side.

All males were wearing work gloves, hoods and face coverings and using an iron bar, they smashed the front window of the shop.

Two males entered the shop and handed chain saws, hedgecutters, leaf blowers and consaws out to the two other males.

They then left in direction of Castlemaine. However, the boot of the car didn’t close properly and a chainsaw and a consaw were found on the road nearby.

There was a white Toyota car which came upon the Audi moments after the suspects escaped with the tools and gardai are anxious to speak to the driver who may have observed items falling out of the rear of the Audi A3.

The suspects stopped near Flynn’s Garage Castlemaine so they could close the boot, before driving off towards Firies/Farranfore.

Gardai are also looking for any information in relation to the incident and you can contact them at 066 9790500.
