Gardaí Investigate Burglaries And Criminal Damage Incidents In Tralee

GARDAI are investigating a number of separate criminal damage and burglary incidents in the Tralee area over the past week.

On Monday, April 26, between 11pm and the following morning, a car window was damaged when a rock was thrown at through it in the Doon North area of Tralee.

Then, on the following evening, April 27 at 10.15pm, the same family was targeted when a rock was thrown at a separate vehicle in the driveway of the home. Gardaí are asking if anyone saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact them at Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.

Gardaí are also investigating a criminal damage incident in Marian Park last week. On Thursday, April 29, 12.30am and 5am, a vehicle was parked outside a house in Marian Park and had white paint and the air had been let out of three tyres.

Then on May 1, at about 2pm in the O’Rahillys Villas area of town. The owner was asleep upstairs when he heard people downstairs who had entered via the front door which was unlocked.

The owner contacted the gardaí but the trespassers fled. Nothing was taken in the incident. Again, any information to Tralee Garda Station.

Also, on Monday, May 3 at about 6am, a male suspect entered the Council Yard premises on Upper Rock Street. He was seen on CCTV attempting to remove tools and then took several items from another building on the property and left the scene.

Also on Monday, May 3, a bicycle was stolen from outside Lidl on Edward Street between 7.15pm and 7.45pm. It’s a gold and black Mirage bike. If you saw anything suspicious in the area at that time please contact gardai on 066-7102300.
