Gardaí Investigate Burglaries And Thefts From Vehicles In Tralee Area

GARDAI are investigating burglaries and theft incidents in the Tralee area over the past week and are hoping for the public’s assistance.

On Friday, July 10, at 4.30am, in the Killeen Wood estate, a person was awoken by a noise in the house and when they investigated they saw a male running from the house.

A number of items were missing from the house including the jewellery. Gardaí are asking anyone who is offered jewellery for sale or anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the Killeen Wood area to contact them at Tralee Garda Station.

In a separate incident in Denny Street on Monday, July 6, 3.25pm, a person entered an office building by an unsecured basement door. A petty cash box was taken. Again, any information on this to Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.

On Friday, July 3, between 2am and 4am, items were stolen from eight unlocked vehicles in the Derrylea estate in Oakpark. Gardaí are appealing to people to check their vehicles are locked before they go to bed.
