Gardaí Investigate Burglaries Around Tralee

GARDAI in Tralee are investigating burglaries in Tralee over the past week.

In Upper Castle Street, between Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16, the storage area of a house was broken into and a number of tools were stolen, including  two Hitachi hammers – a green one and a yellow and black one.

Gardai are asking anyone offered such a tool to contact them at Tralee Garda Station.

Between Friday, April 14 and Friday, April 21, another premises on Upper Castle Street, was burgled while the owners were on holidays. A playstation, three controllers and a game were stolen.

On Saturday morning last at 4.20am, the Gala shop at Mounthawk was broken into and a quantity of cigarettes and other smaller items were taken.

If anyone saw anything suspicious or have been offered any of the above mentioned stolen items, please contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.

Meanwhile, in Lixnaw there was a quantity of cigarettes stolen from Foley’s Shop on Friday, April 21 at 3.30am. Gardai are examining CCTV footage from the shop. Also on the same night there was damage to the Post Office window in the village and gardai think the two incidents could be linked.
