Mounthawk Topaz 1

An attempt was made to break into the Topaz filling station in Mounthawk on Monday morning.

GARDAÍ are looking into a number of break-ins  in and around Tralee in the past 10 days.

Last Monday, June 8, the Kingdom Care Charity shop at the Mart was broken into at around 4.40am. A rock was  thrown throughout the window and thieves gained access stealing what is described as a small amount of cash.

The adjoining beauty salon was also targeted at the time, with the window broken by a rock, but the security shutters on the window ensured the thieves could not gain access.

Then between Saturday, June 6 and Monday, June 8, the Barbereile barber shop on Russell Street was broken into and a small amount of cash in coin boxes was taken.

More recently, in the early hours of this morning, Monday June 15, thieves attempted to break into the Topaz station at Mounthawk. Two males caused damage to the window with a crowbar before leaving empty handed.

If anyone has any information regarding any of the above incidents, please contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.
