Gardaí Investigate Number Of Assaults In Tralee Over Past Week

GARDAI are asking the public for assistance in their investigation into a number of assaults around Tralee over the past week.

On Tuesday, September 8, at around 1.15pm a man was assaulted on Ivy Terrace. A man was was waiting in his car at the traffic lights at the junction of Ivy Terrace and Princes Street, when another male approached and punched him through the open window. The man suffered facial injuries and needed hospital treatment.

On Thursday, September 10, another assault took place at 9.35am on the street in Boherbee. A man was assaulted by two unknown males where he received a number of kicks and punches and sustained serious injuries.

On Friday, September 11 at about 12.40pm, a young teenager was assaulted in the AbbeyCourt area. He was walking from AbbeyCourt towards Ivy Terrace when an unknown male pushed him against a pillar and he received punches to the face and stomach.

Finally, on Sunday, September 13, at about 8.20pm, a man was assaulted on the Killerisk Road. A man pulled up in a white van, got out and began assaulting the victim in an unprovoked attack.
