Gardaí Investigate Separate Incidents Relating To Vehicle Damage And Theft

GARDAI in Tralee are investigating a number of separate incidents in relation to vehicles in the area over the past week.

On Sunday, May 15, at around 6am, there was a red Hyundai Accent taken from outside a house in an estate in Tralee.

It was later found burnt out in Abbeydorney at about 7.15am. A suspect has been arrested in relation to the matter, but Gardaí are seeking witnesses or anyone who has dashcam footage during that time on the Tralee to Abbeydorney road.

Gardai are also investigating a theft from a vehicle incident on Friday, May 13. The incident occurred in Balloonagh Estate between 5.05am and 5.08am. A sum of money was taken from a vehicle.

Gardaí are encouraging car owners to be vigilant, lock the doors of their vehicles at all times and not to leave valuables inside or in plain view.

Gardaí are also investigating a criminal damage incident to a vehicle in Casements Avenue. On Monday May 10, between 1.40am and 8.50am, the window of the vehicle was damaged.
