Gardaí Investigate Theft From Vehicle Incidents In Tralee Area

GARDAI in Tralee are appealing for information after two theft from vehicle incidents in the past 10 days.

On Sunday, May 1, between 1pm and 1.30pm, a Northern Ireland registered Mercedes car was parked on Castle Street.

When the owner returned to the car he noticed the boot was open and when he inspected he found electronic equipment worth over €1,000 was missing, which included an iPad and a Nintendo Switch.

Last Thursday, May 5, at about 5.30pm in Knockawaddra, just outside Tralee, a van was parked up and when the owner returned they found tools missing — including a DeWalt drill, a nailgun and a saw — worth around €1,000.

If anyone was in either area at the time and saw anything suspicious, or if you have been offered any of the mentioned tool or electronic equipment at a knockdown price, you are asked to contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.
