Gardaí Renew Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Collision

GARDAI in Killarney are renewing their appealing for witnesses in relation to the fatal road traffic collision that occurred on Sunday, June 2.

The collision involving a cyclist and a car occurred at approximately 8am on the Gap of Dunloe at Dunloe Upper, Beaufort, Killarney, at a junction known locally as Joy’s Cross.

The cyclist, 45 year old Mariusz Kryszak, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured. A native of Poland, Mr Kryszak, worked at the Dunloe Hotel for the past 15 years.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area close to the time of the collision, especially those with dashcam footage, to contact Killarney Garda Station 064-6671160, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
