Gardaí Seek Information On Attempted Break-in, Counterfeit Notes And Lost Property

GARDAI are seeking the public’s help in relation to a break-in, counterfeit notes and property recovered at the station in Tralee.

On Thursday, June 21, at the Applegreen Service Station at Monavalley, between 10pm and 11.30pm, a male tried, unsuccessfully, to break into the shop.

Gardaí are asking if anyone saw anything suspicious in that area around this time to contact them at Tralee Garda Station.


Also, gardaí are looking for information after a counterfeit €50 note was used in a shop on Thursday last. The staff member noticed it was fake and contacted the gardaí who have a suspect in relation to the incident.

Gardaí are keen to warn business owners to be vigilant when accepting notes and to contact them if they come across counterfeit notes.

Also, gardaí are looking to reunite people with property at the station. On Thursday, June 21, a red Apollo mountain bike, with red spray paint on it, was found in the Monavalley area.
