GARDAI have seized an estimated €10,000 worth of heroin in the Shanakill area of town.
The discovery was by the Kerry Garda Division Drugs Unit at a house on Sunday night and man and a woman were arrested at the scene.
They are being held at Tralee Garda Station under sections 3 and 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
It’s the latest in a long line of successful seizures of drugs by the Gardaí in Kerry over the past number of months, but the first significant heroin seizure of this scale in town for some time.
