Gardaí Urge People To Stop Engaging In Road Bowling Around Tralee

GARDAI in Tralee have received a number of complaints from the public about people engaging in road bowling games.

According to gardaí, these groups are playing these games in locations around the town and on the outlying roads.

This is causing serious traffic disruption and gardai say this is an offence which could result in fines of up to €1,000.

Gardaí are asking people to stop organising these games on public roads and say anyone who engages in road bowling must first liaise with Kerry County Council to get a road closure permit.

Gardaí are encouraging any motorist or pedestrian who comes across a game in progress to immediately contact them via the ‘See Something, Say Something’ text number 50555 or call them on 066-7102300.
