GARDAí in Tralee are warning the public and businesses of fake €20 notes in circulation.
They have received reports of a number of false notes in circulation, particularly in the Tralee and Dingle area.
They are asking people to be mindful when they are out shopping or receiving money. The forgeries are of fairly good quality but people should be able to tell the difference due to the quality of the paper.
If you have one of these notes, notify the person from which you received it and contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.
