GARDAI are warning the public about bogus callers in the Tralee area. The men claim to be from an alarm company and say they are checking the alarms in houses.
They are calling outside of normal working hours, they are not in any uniform and are not presenting with identification.
Gardaí are advising people not to engage with them, do not let them enter your home and to call the gardaí on 066-7102300.
Gardaí have also received reports of scam phone calls from a number starting with 051. When people check their voicemail after receiving the call a message say legal proceedings are being taken against them. The advice is not to answer the call and do not call back under any circumstances.
