Gary KeaneFOLLOWING on from the great news that local musician, Gary Keane has earned his spot at the Electric Picnic music festival, he now has the chance to play one of the main stages.

All he needs now is your votes.

Gary made it to the final of the 2FM ‘Play The Picnic’ Competition and needs your help to win a competition which will secure him a spot on the Cosby Tent at this year’s Electric Picnic.

All you have to do to get behind one of our own, is Text PICNIC1 (no space between the ‘picnic’ and the ‘1’) to 50300. Texts cost €2 with all proceeds going to Oxfam’s Gaza Relief Fund.

“The support so far from people in Tralee has been amazing. People really got behind me and I’ll never forget that,” said Gary.

“This is the final push to go all the way and win the competition outright. Being an original musician these days is hard graft and it’s competitions like these that can make such a massive impact on your career and take you from one level to the next,” Gary said.

Voting is open until  midnight on Sunday, August 10.

You can text as many times as you like. Also, Gary will be playing with his new band ‘White Boys’ in The Blasket, Tralee on Saturday, August 16 at 10:30pm during the Rose Of Tralee Festival.
