THE party season is nearly at an end so it’s time to get healthy and active again…and tomorrow is as good a time as any to start.

The 31 day January Challenge for positive mental health is once again taking place and is being promoted by local people Colin ‘Poshey’ Aherne and Caroline Corkery in aid of three great causes.

Bumbleance and Down Syndrome Kerry will benefit from fund-raising while €1,000 is being donated to Action For Amber, to help with little Amber O’Connor’s fight against Cancer. Amber was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Metastatic Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), back in September.

Each day in January for 31 days people can sign up to do an activity a day, whether it be  walking, running, cycling, yoga, fitness or whatever, once you get active for 30 minutes a day. Each day you complete you donate €1.

Online registration is open now so it’s a great way to commit to making that change in January and helping out fantastic causes. Click here to take part.
