Go On A Blind Date (With A Book!) At Tralee Library

Tralee Library.

THE people at Tralee Library have come up with a novel way to get people to broaden their reading interests this month.

Are you falling into a pattern of reading the same kinds of books and the same familiar authors over and over again? Cannot read anything but crime?

What if you’re missing out on a wonderful book you’ve never heard of?

For the month of February – during which we celebrate St Valentine’s Day – Tralee Library at Moyderwell is offering readers the opportunity to discover something new by going on a blind date with a book.

Tralee Library has wrapped up a few of their favourites and hope that readers will fall for them too. They have wrapped the books in brown paper, and have written on a few descriptive words.

Customers then have to select their books based entirely on that – no cover art to help them out, no rating and no titles.

Here’s how it works…

• Read the profile on the book label and take a chance

• Bring your choice to the desk to be issued to you

• You may just find out you’re well matched

Call into Tralee Library and see how it works for yourself.
