TODAY is a dangerous day if you’re a fish.

On Good Friday, the Catholic tradition of abstaining from meat is still strong in Kerry and it’s a bumper time for Quinlan’s Fish Shops.

The successful company ran a competition on Radio Kerry to find a group of people deserving of a fish and chips lunch for free.

They picked staff at the Childrens Ward in University Hospital Kerry as the winners and Radio Kerry’s Andrew Morrissey along with Quinlan’s staff from their Tralee branch called up to deliver the goodies early this afternoon.

I’m sure you’ll agree the nurses there are more than deserving of any treat that come their way, such is the great work they do in the ward. Hope you enjoyed it ladies.
