THE Government has accelerated the roadmap for the reopening of the country as they confirmed Phase 2 begins on Monday.

There will now be four Phases rather than five, with Phase 3 on June 29 and Phase 4 on July 20.

From Monday, people can travel freely within their own county. On June 29, all travel restrictions within the country will be abolished. From this Monday, groups of six people can meet indoors and up to 15 people for outdoor sporting, cultural or social activities, practising social distancing.

Playgrounds will reopen from Monday and outdoor camps for children, numbering no more than 15, will be permitted. Up to 25 people can attend funerals.

All shops will be allowed open from Monday, but no earlier than 10.30am and with allocated times for elderly and at risk people. Shopping malls can open on June 15 provided measures are taken that people cannot congregate on benches or food courts.

In Phase 3, on June 29, hotels, restaurants, hostels, caravan parks, galleries and museums can reopen. Bars can reopen if they serve food with table service only. All other bars will reopen on July 20. Places of worship can also reopen in Phase 3 but with precautions. Bans on mass gatherings are set to remain in place until the autumn.
