FOURTEEN ladies from all over the county and beyond, received their certificates last night as they graduated from the Sanctuary Beauty Academy at a ceremony in The Brandon Hotel.

The owner of the academy and course director, Mary O’Donoghue, was there to issue the qualifications from ITEC, CIDESCO and City and Guilds, after the class completed the full-time, 10 month course which has its base in The Square, above The Glam Pod beauty salon.

“We cover beauty, make-up artistry, body therapy, electrology, Indian head massage, advanced waxing courses, nail technician, teacher training and spa and salon management and all these are accredited,” said Mary, who is going into her ninth year with the academy.

The business will hold an open day this Saturday in The Square from 2-4pm to highlight future courses.
