Green Cottage Was One Of Just Six Residential Properties Sold In June

Green Cottage, Denny Street, which was sold last month for €165,000.

GREEN Cottage, situated adjacent to the KDYS in Denny Street, was sold last month for €165,000, down from the €350,000 guide price back in 2012.

The 160 year old cottage was one of just six residential properties sold in Tralee during the month of June with a combined value of €667,500, down from €2m on the May figure.

The houses sold ranged in price from €45,000 to €165,000 according to the Property Price Register.

Two houses were sold for under €100,000. They were 248 St Brendan’s Park (€45,000) and 80 St Brendan’s Park (€97,500).

The rest fetched prices in the €100-200k bracket. They were 108 Meadowlands (€100,000), 14 Castle Countess (€110,000), 79 Boherbee (€150,000) and Green Cottage (€165,000).

The total value of Kerry residential sales in May was €6.3m, down by €2m on the May figure.

In other property news, it has emerged that the Tralee Central Hotel (formerly the Abbey Gate) on Maine Street, has been sold for an undisclosed sum. The hotel had a guide price of €1m and no details of the new owners have been revealed.
