More of this please.

IT might be time to make plans for the outdoors over the next few days as it looks like it will be a scorcher of a weekend.

However, rain clouds could appear where they’re not wanted for a brief spell on Sunday and bank holiday Monday.

On Saturday, Met Eireann are predicting the best of the sunshine will be in the west of the country with temperatures in Tralee over the 20° mark.

There is a risk of rain on Sunday and Monday however (although they said the same last weekend and it didn’t materialise).

On Sunday, outbreaks of rain in Leinster and Ulster will gradually move westwards and will turn to heavier showers in many areas in the afternoon.

Hopefully they don’t come too far south west!

It will continue to be hot a humid with temperatures in Tralee expected to be in the low 20’s.

It’s similar story on bank holiday Monday which will start off dry with sunny spells however showers will develop in places during the morning and will become heavy and more widespread during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures again in the low 20’s.
