IAN O’Doherty’s new single ‘Heartbeats Shifting’ was released on Friday and it’s another step in the Oakpark man’s ever changing repertoire.
“The first single Woven did well, particularly with regional radio stations, so we’re hoping to add to that with ‘Heartbeats Shifting’,” said Ian.
“This is the second single in a series of singles, there will be another one out towards the end of the year. Releasing singles is a better way of getting yourself noticed and less costly than making an album,” he added.
It’s all been a bit hectic for Ian recently as he looks forward to his fast approaching wedding date. Next month he will tie the knot with his fiancee Ali Keane in a ceremony in Ballymaloe house.

The couple then plan to honeymoon in Rome and Morocco, providing, as Ian says, “the Ebola thing doesn’t get out of hand”.
Weddings aside, there is no let-up in gigs this month. Ian will embark on a mini-tour of Dublin, plus dates in Westport along with one a bit closer to home in Dingle.
“Hopefully I’ll have a night lined up in Tralee soon as well,” Ian says.
