Here’s The Result Of The Fifth Count In The Tralee Electoral Area

CLLR Terry O’Brien is within touching distance of being re-elected to Tralee Municipal District of Kerry County Council, after the result of the fifth count for the Tralee Electoral Area was announced this afternoon.

Five seats remain to be filled after Cllrs Norma Foley and Toireasa Ferris were re-elected earlier. Cllr O’Brien is now on 1,589, just 36 votes below the quota of 1,625 (see full result below).

Behind him is on and Mikey Sheehy on 1,329 Jim Finucane on 1,274. They’re followed by Pa Daly (1,196) and Sam Locke in seventh place on 901.

The fifth count at the John Mitchels GAA Complex, saw the votes of Ted Cronin distributed. The votes (350) of Mary Fitzgibbon of Aontú, who has now been eliminated — will be distributed for the sixth count.
