IT has been a simply remarkable weekend for the Healy Rae clan as they will have two representatives in the next Dáil.
Michael was elected on Saturday night after 11pm with over 20,000 first preference votes – the most in the country – and Danny follows today.
Of course this has generated a lot of discussion on Twitter. Here’s what people were saying…
Micheal Healy-Rae got over 20,000 votes, that’s some going

To the people who sniff at Healy-Rae success – are the people of Kerry not entitled to vote for who they want? They did – in huge numbers.
